Abstract Tourism development in northwest region has superiority on resources. This paper puts forward tourism developing model and practical measures aimed at some problems of tourism in northwest region of China by analyzing background,present condition of tourism industry,tourism resources,oversea and domestic tourist markets,limitative factors,and dynamic mechanism of tourism.
